單字概述與用法
recommend是個及物動詞，基本意思為推薦、介紹，意指有意識地介紹某人、事、物的優點，讓人覺得這個人、事、物很好。延伸語意為贊同(因為贊同、讚賞，才會推薦給別人）。這個字還有勸告的意思，用法也跟advise跟suggest很像，除了名詞跟代名詞外，後面可以接that子句跟動名詞(Ving)當受詞。recommend的三態為：recommend / recommended / recommended。

要注意：
- recommend 後面可以接名詞、代名詞或動名詞，如 "I recommend this book"（我推薦這本書）或 "I recommend reading this book"（我建議閱讀這本書）。
- 若要表示建議某人採取某種行動，可使用 "recommend that" 句型，如 "I recommend that you read this book"（我建議你閱讀這本書）。在這種句型中，後面的子句通常使用假設語氣，即 should + 動詞原形，但在口語中，should 可以省略。
- recommend 也可以接不定詞來表示建議某人做某事，例如 "I recommend you to read this book"（我建議你閱讀這本書）。不過，這種用法在現代英語中較少見，使用 "recommend that" 句型更為常見。
- 另外，在recommend 的受詞後面可以跟介系詞 "for" 或 "to"，如 "I recommended him for the job"（我推薦他擔任這份工作）或 "I recommended the book to her"（我向她推薦這本書）。
