單字概述與用法
while有兩個詞性。當名詞時，���意為一會兒，表示一段不確定長度的時間，前面通常有不定冠詞"a"。當連接詞時，有三個語意：一個是當…的時候，表示兩個動作或狀態是同時發生的，或一個動作在另一個動作的過程中發生; 另一個語意則是而(然而)，其引導的子句與主要子句間是對比或平行關係; 最後則是與although相似，語意為「雖然...但是...」，表示退讓，最後這一種用法，用although會比較清楚，不易造成讀者誤解。
